Deo Tibba base, the base camp for Deo Tibba peak, is a moderate level trek and offers some of the amazing views of Deo Deo Tibba, Jagatsukh and Norbu Peak. Its a complete trek with a variety of landscapes like alpine forest, green meadows, waterfall, moraines and much more. The trek is also know for the lake of Chota Chandrataal.

DAY 01: Pune – Delhi – Manali
Departure to Delhi from Pune.  Reach Delhi by afternoon. Board the bus for Manali at 4 pm. Overnight Journey to Patlikuhal.
Bus type : Volvo AC semi-sleeper

Day 2 : Reporting at Rumsu base camp and Acclimatization walk.
All the participants will report at Rumsu base camp by 8 AM and will undergo registration process. Freshening up and have breakfast at the base camp. Post breakfast head for an acclimatization walk.
Lunch will be at 1 PM. Post lunch orientation program. Orientation will cover all the general instructions that could be helpful for the trek like backpacking, marching technique and medical awareness. Post snacks will have an ice breaking session. Overnight stay at Rumsu base camp.

Day 3: Rumsu to Chikka
After breakfast head to khanol village by jeep. This village is a starting point of the trek .  Trekkers can spot lot of wild berries along the treke route. It takes 6 to 7 hours to reach Chikka campsite. On the way visit a  shiv temple which is naturally formed. Participants will camp overnight at Chikka.

Day 4: Chikka to Seri
After breakfast start our trek to Seri. Initial patch of the trek is through the jungle and rocky terrain and takes around six to seven hours to reach. Seri is a long spread of green meadows almost the size of three to four football ground put together. A beautiful waterfall is witnessed followed by different tributaries. Seri was once a glaciated lake but now it’s a vast spread of green meadow. Overnight camping at Seri.

Day 5: Seri to Deo Tibba Base.
Trek commences after an early breakfast by 6 AM. The route goes through rivers, and has a steep climb. It takes three hours to reach Tenta. A clear view of Deo Tibba peak and Indrasan peak is visible from Tenta and then another three to four hours trek to reach Deo Tibba base camp, where nature promises a fascinating view to all the trekkers. Overnight stay at Deo Tibba base.

Day  6:  Exploring  chota-Chandrataal  and Stay at Tenta.
It will take around 4 hours to reach mini lake known as chota  Chandrataal . After exploring and finishing our packed lunch we will head back again to Tenta. Overnight stay at Tenta.

Day 7: Trek back to Chikka.
We will descend to Chikka which is 11km from Tenta.  The descent is easy and will take around 4-5 hours. Participants can enjoy bonfire being last day of the trek. Overnight stay at Chikka.

Day 8: Descend to Jagatsukh and departure to Manali.
We will start our descend from Chikka. We will take the same route to descend to Jagatsukh. Jeep Ride to Manali.  Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 9: Local Manali & departure to Delhi
Post breakfast head to explore  Manali. On the way participants can enjoy rafting on Beas river. Participants can visit Van vihar, Hadimba mata temple and shop some souvenirs at Mall Road.  Departure to Delhi will be at 5.00 pm.

Day 10: Reach Delhi & departure to Pune
Departure from Manali by 5 PM. Reach Delhi around 8-10 am & Departure to Pune.

Cancellation Policy:-

  • The request for cancellation and refund if any should be made in the Cancellation Form, duly signed by the traveler/guardian or by e-mail sent from the travelers personal ID.
  • Cancellation request will be received during working days and during working hours. It will be processed form the time of receipt of the form or email.
  • Refund will be paid by cheque only(not cash) or account transfers within 15 days of event conclusion.
  • Backpack outdoors reserves all rights to modify/change any program/event.
  • For any reason of cancellation, cancellation charges will be applicable as follows
  1. For cancellation made more than 30 days prior to departure, 75% of the program fees will be refunded.
  2. For cancellation made between 30 to 16 days prior to departure date, 50% of program fees will be refunded.
  3. No refund will be given if cancellation is made within 15 days prior to departure date of the event.
  4. If the event is cancelled due to any natural calamity, political unrest or other such reasons beyond our control the same cancellation policy will apply.
  5. If the event is cancelled by Backpack Outdoors due to insufficient number of people then full amount will be refunded or adjusted in next event.
  • For pre booked Flight: –
  1. For cancellation made upto 21 days prior to the departure, 25% of flight ticket amount or Rs.3,000 (for per person, per sector) whichever is higher will be deducted. No refunds after that.
  2. No refunds would be provided in case of bus tickets cancellation. (Eg. Delhi – Manali / Delhi – Shimla)
