Itinerary:

Option -1 (Leh – Leh)

Day 01: Pune/ New Delhi – Leh (Travel & Acclimatization)
Take early morning flight to reach Leh. Airport pick up & transfer to Hotel. Acclimatization day & evening visit/Small hike to Shanti Stupa (Built by Japanese monks to celebrate 2,000 yrs of Buddhism).
(Breakfast, Dinner in Leh).

Day 02: Leh – Nimu Sangam (30 km)

Post breakfast,  visit around the Leh. Beautiful roads and amazing views of mountains and rivers (Indus, Zanskar etc.) Visit Pathar Sahib Gurudwara & have lunch at Langar (optional). This day we explore places around Leh for its beauty, this also helps in acclimatization to high altitude. Visit Nimu sangam, magnetic hill on the way back to Leh visit Hall of Fame. Attend the Hall of Fame Grand Parade with ease! (must see). Night stay in Leh. (Breakfast, Dinner at Leh)

Day 03: Leh – Khardungla – Nubra Valley (5.30 Hrs – 120 Km)
Big Day. After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla *One of the highest motorable pass in the world (18,380 feet). On the way you get an excellent view of great Karakoram Range. Keep driving through Syhok River & en route lunch at Khardung village. Evening visit sand dunes & experience cold dessert with the view of double humped camels etc.

Overnight stay at Nubra. (Breakfast at Leh, Dinner at Hunder)

Day 4: Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake via Shyok valley (7- Hrs – 270 Km)
This is another day of a daring off-roading experience as you traverse through untamed paths in the high mountains. The route leads to the beautiful Pangong Tso (lake) – Shared lake between India and China via Shyok River. It is quite challenging yet thrilling and is generally used by the army. On arrival, prepare for a captivating view of the lake. Spend some time at the banks of Pangong Lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 kms wide and over 144 km long and is shared by two countries (25% India and 75% China).

Overnight luxury camping experience. (Breakfast at Nubra, Dinner at Pangong).

Day 05: Pangong Lake – Changla – Leh (6 Hrs one way – 140 Km)
Early morning after Breakfast travel through Changla Pass 17,350 ft. (High Motorable Pass). Visit Hemis Monastery & Thicksey Monastery enroute & arrive Leh in the evening.

Overnight stay in Leh.  (Breakfast at Pangong, Dinner at Leh)

Day 06: Local Leh

You can explore local market & nearby places on your own. Free time for shopping and to visit any places left to explore.  Evening free at leisure & gala dinner. This is a  very useful  buffer day, in case of harsh weather or bad road conditions.
Overnight stay at Leh. (Breakfast, Gala Dinner in Leh).

Day 07: (Saturday): Fly Leh – New Delhi/ Pune (TOUR ENDS!!)

Option – 2  (Leh – Manali )

Day 7: Leh – Jispa (9.30 Hrs one way – 330 Km)
Leave for Jispa, after enjoying the breakfast. Cross the high passes like Nakee La, Lachung La, and Tanglang La. Say goodbye to the beauty of Ladakh and travel along the curvy roads to Himachal Pradesh. Reach Jispa and stay for the night.(Breakfast at Leh, Dinner at Jispa)

Day 8: Jispa – Manali (5.30 Hrs one way – 137 Km)
Cross the ever mesmerizing Rohtang Pass & Baralach La and reach Manali by evening. Evening Gala Dinner with celebration and lots of fun and sharing from all travelers. Overnight stay at Manali. (Breakfast at Jispa, Gala Dinner at Manali)

You can spend a day or two extra in Manali if your schedule allows.

Cancellation Policy:

  • The request for cancellation and refund if any should be made in the Cancellation Form, duly signed by the traveler/guardian or by e-mail sent from the travelers personal ID.
  • Cancellation request will be received during working days and during working hours. It will be processed form the time of receipt of the form or email.
  • Refund will be paid by cheque only(not cash) or account transfers within 15 days of event conclusion.
  • Backpack outdoors reserves all rights to modify/change any program/event.
  • For any reason of cancellation, cancellation charges will be applicable as follows
  1. For cancellation made more than 30 days prior to departure, 75% of the program fees will be refunded.
  2. For cancellation made between 30 to 16 days prior to departure date, 50% of program fees will be refunded.
  3. No refund will be given if cancellation is made within 15 days prior to departure date of the event.
  4. If the event is cancelled due to any natural calamity, political unrest or other such reasons beyond our control the same cancellation policy will apply.
  5. If the event is cancelled by Backpack Outdoors due to insufficient number of people then full amount will be refunded or adjusted in next event.
  • For pre booked Flight: –
  1. For cancellation made upto 21 days prior to the departure, 25% of flight ticket amount or Rs.3,000 (for per person, per sector) whichever is higher will be deducted. No refunds after that.
  2. No refunds would be provided in case of bus tickets cancellation. (Eg. Delhi – Manali / Delhi – Shimla)
