TEMGHAR MTB CHALLENGE:

Action packed mountain bike racing! A weekend format full of learning, socializing, chilling out and racing. The Temghar MTB Challenge is a platform for all levels of riders to come together and develop and show their sport. The event will have the two disciplines of Cross Country (Olympic and Circuit) and a Downhill time trial.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS: The organizers of this race are Backpack Outdoors and Bikepark Pune (Rolling Academy). Having a long experience in designing trails, getting more people on mountain bikes and conducting races, the organizers have setup an exciting course and weekend experience for the participants. They have been involved in organizing of events like Deccan Cliff-hanger, Pune Bicycle Championship, Rolling MTB Championship, Temple Run, Impulse – Hill Race, Trekkathon and many more. The complete team from Backpack Outdoors is well trained in outdoor adventure management and has been supporting such events since last 10 years! So you are up for an exciting event!

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Race + MTB Workshop + Camping + Socializing + Fun

The purpose of this race/event is to bring mountain biking enthusiasts together, irrespective of their level of riding. For this, 3 different categories and subcategories have been formulated and mountain bikers of all levels (beginners, amateurs and professionals) are encouraged to participate. There is opportunity to socialize with the MTB community over the weekend. We are offering 1 night/ 2 night’s stay options too and planning to have loads of fun with Camping, Live Music, MTB Movie screening, etc. (but this depends on the number of participants we get and support from the community). Also, the race site is absolutely scenic and you can get your family members/friends along for the event. With so much to explore, it will be a new experience for them too! We are looking forward for maximum participation from the cycling community. (We are trying to keep the cost for accommodation/food as low as possible).

This race will also see the finale of Mumbai MTB Offroaders (MMO). The MMO has been organizing awesome races throughout 2018 for the MTB community in Mumbai and will count the XC race at Temghar MTB Challenge as their Finale round. They have had an awesome participation of as many as 40 riders in their local races.

Do we take this as an open challenge from the Mumbai offroading community to the other cities? Gear up Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur and other cities to face these upcoming champions from Mumbai! Or will there be a new surprise package altogether hopping up on the podium? Time will only tell.

So stay tuned for updates on this. We will also put updates on the Facebook event page.

Fun Activities:
